Of them, I think one of the most overlooked is learning to be comfortable with networking. I am generally a pretty introverted person for whom social interaction does not come easily, but when I first started trying to market my services, I quickly found that being able to be outgoing and friendly and sell myself was crucial to bringing in money. This meant not just being friendly when approached, but being proactive in seeking out opportunities. It has not gotten any easier for me, but over time, I have learned how to "turn on" my social side as necessary. Check out the video above for lots of helpful tips from June.
