A Complete Course on Photography for Beginners

When you are new to photography, it can feel a bit overwhelming trying to understand the wide variety of camera settings and equipment and how to combine them all with your creative side to make compelling and technically sound images. This fantastically comprehensive video tutorial will take you through all the basics with lots of explanations and examples so you can get up and running as soon as possible.

Coming to you from Chris Bray Photography, this excellent video tutorial will show you all the basics you need to know regarding cameras and lenses, including how they work and how to operate them. While you have a lot to learn, the one thing you will want to be sure you have down pat as soon as possible is the exposure triangle (you can read more on that here), as it contains the three fundamental settings that have the greatest technical and creative consequences on your images. And don't be afraid to use semi-automatic modes as a way of experimenting with one parameter at a time; even professionals often make use of these in a variety of situations. Check out the video above for a ton of useful information.

Once you have completed this course, if you would like to move on to more advanced topics, be sure to check out the Fstoppers Store, which is full of premium courses.
