When shooting landscape, I’m sure there have been times when you wished you had a wider lens to capture the reflection of the view in a lake. Don’t be full of regret, and try to look for another solution. One way could be to capture multiple shots and the other to rely on Photoshop. In this article, the guys at Tech Genie will show you how you can create a stretch of water from scratch.
While post-processing doesn’t replace great photography capture, it can undoubtedly help sometimes. But, it still has a place for specific pictures and also to explore your creativity a bit further. Using the tutorial above, you’ll be able to add the reflection of any landscape into a water stretch even if there wasn’t any water when shooting. It sounds crazy and next to impossible, but trust me, the guys at Tech Genie found a way to make very believable.
The process may seem a bit long for someone who’s not used to Photoshop, but it’s worth the time. And it also seems like something you could probably record as an action to make part of the process much faster.
