Videography is a lot like photography in many ways, but there are enough differences that it can be easy to fall into making mistakes you might not have anticipated. This great video will show you five common mistakes new videographers make and what you can do to fix them.
Coming to you from The Slanted Lens, this great video details five mistakes that are commonly made by new videographers that you should watch out for. Of the five, the one that personally sticks out to me (though as a musician, I may be biased) is not ensuring you have good audio along with the video. Particularly when you're a photographer beginning to learn video, you'll of course focus on the visual component, and it can be very easy to overlook the sort of precision and attention to detail obtaining good, professional audio demands, and good visuals with poor audio unfortunately equal a poor final product. Be sure to take time to learn good audio practices concurrently with your video work, and you'll be producing professional, high-quality work in no time.
