Four Tips for Getting More out of Your Landscape Photography Trips

Landscape photography trips can be a big time and money commitment, but if you don't do the proper planning and analysis beforehand, you can end up coming home without the shots you wanted. This great video talks about four things to do before you head out the door to give yourself a greater chance of success.

Coming to you from Mark Denney, this helpful video talks about steps to take before you head out on a landscape photography trip to increase your chances of success. Of the tips, I think it's particularly important to have a thorough understanding of the position of the light before you go to a location. Since we can't move natural features to our liking, it's crucial that the light lines up in a way that matches your photographic vision, else you can end up with a beautiful scene that just isn't lit properly. Oftentimes, this can mean being patient until the right conditions do arise, but the wait will definitely be more worth it than wasting time, effort, and money trying to force a shot that simply isn't there at that moment. Check out the video above for more of Denney's helpful tips.
