Helpful Tips for Better Long Exposure Photography

Long exposure photography is a highly popular technique, one that is a ton of fun and an excellent way to create stunning images. If you want to improve your long exposure work, this fantastic video will give you lots of great tips for better images.

Long exposure images are one of the best ways to explore your creative side, and all you really need to get started are a tripod and perhaps an ND filter. One tip that I think is really important is paying careful attention to the layers in your images, namely the foreground, middle ground, and background. It is easy to overlook the foreground in landscape work as you focus on the large elements in the frame, but this can make all the difference in creating a more balanced photo and give the viewer's eye an entrance point into the photo.
