Here Are 10 Location Ideas for Your Next Photoshoot

Sometimes, it's more fun and interesting to stop shooting every portrait at f/1.4 and instead find locations that complement or juxtapose with your subject to create more compelling photos. This helpful video will give you 10 location ideas that should be accessible for just about everyone.

Coming to you from Signature Edits, this helpful video outlines 10 locations that people commonly have access to that make for great portraiture. My personal favorite was the greenhouse. I love using a backdrop of foliage, as I think it often makes for a great color palette and interesting texture, but I've never thought of stepping into a greenhouse, where you'll get a ton of variety all in one spot along with soft light. Some of the location ideas require you to either have permission or to exercise common sense to ensure both you and your subject aren't in harm's way, so of course, be sure you're always doing things safely and legally. As you can see, there are a lot more potential portraiture spots than you might have initially anticipated; all it takes is a bit of interesting texture, geometry, or light, and you're good to go.
