How to Choose the Right Camera for You

As the holiday deals start to roll in, you may be eyeing a new camera for your kit. But modern cameras are complex, intricate devices, and you might feel a bit overwhelmed in trying to choose the right one for you. This helpful video discusses some great tips and ideas for choosing a camera that you will be happy with.

Coming to you from James Popsys, this great video discusses how to pick the right camera for you. While there are many practical, objective measurements you can look at, I think Popsys is really on to something important when he discusses how a camera feels in your hands. The nice thing about specs is that they are clearly quantified measurements of camera performance that make it easy to compare brands and models and see if a particular body has everything you need. That being said, if you do not enjoy the experience of using the camera or it just does not feel good in your hands, you are less likely to want to use it or to be inspired to go out and shoot. Specs are a helpful guide, but do not overlook the intangibles either. Check out the video above for Popsys' full thoughts.
