My first attempt at compositing to any extensive degree. I've composited small objects i.e. birds into a landscape previously, but never where I combined entire images. The tree, roots, and structure were all separate shots (taken by me) combined in PS and touched-up in LR. It was fun, but I have newfound respect for the pros on here whos work is just outstanding. .

I like the lone tree, but the roots seem to big? Maybe cropping in more to see less roots and highlighting the tree more?
