This image is one of a series taken for a corporate client wanting to replace the stock imagery on their web site with recognizable features throughout the region. As the sun rises on the left over the Norfolk Skyline, the maritime terminals at Portsmouth (middle left) and Chesapeak (center) service cargo ships in the morning hours.

Overall I like this image, but the horizon moves like a sine wave across the image and the exposure of the sky is uneven (light-dark-light-dark). May I ask: was this combined drone images taken from Lamberts Point? I love the composition but I don't think my tripod is quite that tall.

Hi Rich. I left the curves in the horizon since it sort of mirrored the banks of the rivers. The pano is more than 180 degrees so the change in the brightness of the sky is natural (the peeking morning sun is illuminating the sky to the west). Yes, this is a 63 exposure HRD pano taken from a drone in the middle of the river.
