1.97 - "Needs Work" 

At White Sands National Monument the plants thrive in the valleys between the dunes. The white sands provide great contrast to anything with color. This photo is a focus stack three shot composite.

I love the elements, but I think the foreground sadly detracts from the overall composition. I could easily see the upper right 1/4 of the image as being the whole image. Though I suppose you would have needed to change the point of view. The rolling dunes, the Blue-Gray Sky and the mid image Cacti would make a nicer image.

Agree that there are lovely elements to this shot bit the foreground makes it look a little messy. Also I don't like how the dunes seem cramped at the top of the frame. I think a slightly different composition would work better but it looks like a lovely location
