To me, this image is powerful. Here's why. This is my cousin and his wife. In the cell phone picture you'll notice she is wearing a mask. No, not because of Covid. Because of stage 3 breast cancer. The reason she's wearing a mask is to protect her husband. He was admitted to the hospital at the same time she was. She was about to have a double mastectomy and he was about to have surgery for a severe case of Crohn's Disease. At this time they had 4 children under the age of 7. It was a tough and emotional time for everyone. The background photo is exhibiting the strength it took to get back to healthy. They made it! Together.
