Night

Like in fairytale, at around 2300mt of altitude, here in the Italian Dolomites there is one of the largest plateau in Europe. One of the most peaceful places I've ever been.

That night the weather forecast was promising, with clouds at a much lower altitude and a clear sky. Small weak rivers of fog were moving through these small valleys flowing into a lake of fog far away. The low clouds probably protected even more from the light pollution, giving us a clear beautiful sky to see even better the milky way, in all its majesty.

This photo is done with my crop sensor camera, using 14 consecutive exposures of 15 sec with ISO 10000. They are then manually aligned for quality noise reduction.
