The Octagonal Palace is not a secret location, but it's well hidden and very few people will visit it by chance. On the other hand, if you are exploring locations of interest for photography, you will easily find it on the Internet. Since I was in Berlin for only a few days, it wasn’t at the top of my photo locations list, but it turned out to be extremely photogenic and easy to capture. The choice of a wide frame, central and symmetric composition, and a very low perspective came naturally while the quickly passing clouds necessitated a long exposure. The blue sky with a few clouds stretched by the long exposure created an excellent color contrast with the red facade. Taken and later edited with an iPhone placed on the ground, without the need for a tripod. :)
