Flickr Updates iPhone And iPod Touch App

If you're an iPhone or iPod Touch user, you'll be happy to hear that Flickr has updated their app with some great new functionality. With a built-in editor, instant sharing on multiple social platforms, and a slick exploration interface, they're making a great mobile Flickr experience. And while Flickr's past iPhone and iPod Touch apps might have left you wanting more, I think this is one worth checking out.

You can easily share via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or email and just like on the Flickr site, you can upload unlimited photos (at full resolution) from your camera roll, add photos to groups and sets, tag people, and more.

Viewing photos takes a responsive turn with a rotate-to-fullscreen function. Pinch-zoom enhances the resolution as you zoom, so the photo always looks crisp right up to 1:1 resolution. You can also directly comment on and favorite photos as you explore.

You can always access the full details of photos, including where it was taken, who's tagged in it, and which groups and sets it belongs to. The new Contacts view also makes it easier to follow friends and your favorite photographers.

Groups view lets you keep up with groups you're a member of and view/upload photos. The Explore tab keeps you posted on the most interesting photos uploaded every day.

I have to admit, I never personally used the iPhone Flickr app before, but after downloading and messing around with this version for a bit, it seems like a responsive and intuitive app to keep up with everything Flickr. Have you used it? What are your thoughts?
