Coversplash: A New Portfolio Option

Coversplash: A New Portfolio Option

Coversplash, a new photo sharing and photography forum site, is the creation of four college guys who wanted to create a one stop shop for all your photo needs. Coversplash gives you the ability to create a website to show off your work, easily tell stories with integrated tools, sell stock images and even interact with other photographers in the community.

Last week I had the chance to get a personal virtual your of the new site and all it's snazzy features with creators Jacob and Matt Sniff. The best part of the site? All of the features are free... Yep, you can use all of the features in this review for the low rate of... Free. There are a few small restrictions (templates, commision, and uploads) with the free version but those can be lifted for a small monthly rate of $6.99 - $9.99.

Coversplash has been growing since its launch in April 2014; currently with over 7,000 members and steadily climbing. While discussing the best features, the Sniff brothers continued to stress the flexibility and freedom of the website. The possibilities are seemingly endless; I mean you can build a full portfolio and start selling stock images in less than 10 minutes.

Here are 3 examples of portfolios in action: http://fokion.coversplash.com/ | http://henryjager.coversplash.com/ | http://imagesbychristinasantiago.coversplash.com/

Coverslash has a simple subscription service if you want to unlock some small limitations. Coversplash has also offered Fstoppers readers 3 FREE MONTHS of service to try out the new site! Use coupon code FSTOPPERS. Pretty easy to remember that one.

Here are the features and pricing:

If you want to know more I highly suggest just signing up for a porfolio and giving it a try.

The Coversplash team is really looking to offer the best service possible to photographers. They have worked hard to make sure all the features are polished and are continuously working on their site. If you have any questions or issues shoot them an email or give them a call, they will be more then happy to help. (347) 628-0788 or e-mail us at support@coversplash.com .

Looks nice... buuut: "Invalid Code!"

I just sent them an email. I will follow up with you Moritz.

I was told this was fixed Moritz, it worked for me when I went to become a member.

i stick with squarespace

How does it compare to Squarespace, Zenfolio & Smugmug?

Hello Tzvi,

I honestly haven't used any of the other services you list for websites. I know they are not free, and do not offer selling images at no up front cost.
