Blackmagic Production Camera 4K Firmware Update: Histogram, Peak Audio & Recording Time Added

Blackmagic Design today announced the release of Camera 1.9 software, a firmware update that will improve the Production Camera 4K with a "heads up display" on screen metering and show a histogram, peak audio meters and recording time remaining. The update is free for Blackmagic Production camera users and you can download this update now and install it onto your camera from either Mac or Windows computers.

If you don't have the Production Camera but maybe the original Cinema Camera or the wickedly cheap Pocket Cinema Camera, don't worry. Blackmagic has stated they will be updating the firmware on both those cameras as well to include the same new features.

Anyone know if they fixed the pattern issue in the sensors?

It's improved but very much still present.

I wonder if that helps in any way with the battery overheating issue. Some of these cameras have gone up in smoke.
