Camera Showdown: Fujifilm GFX 50R Versus Hasselblad X1Dii 50C

With the medium format market becoming increasingly more saturated and accessible to photographers, deciding which to get is no longer a funnel leading to one or two brands.

I grew up looking at Hasselblads as the pinnacle of photography equipment. In many ways, I still host that opinion, though it's less reinforced. They make beautiful and iconic cameras and have done for over a century, but their prestige has weathered. That's not to say they aren't still creating incredible cameras — they are — but they are no longer the hallmark of a real professional photographer.

In this video, Matt Granger compares the Fujifilm GFX 50R with the Hasselblad X1Dii 50C. I was pleased to see that the new Hasselblad is priced in a way that means it can be compared to the 50R at all, and I'll be keeping a close eye on Matt Granger's series comparing them. As my readers know, I fell in love with the GFX 50R recently, so it'd be a tough task to steal my affection away!

Nice ass Matt!

Anyone see the big spot, gash, streak on the Hasselblad sensor in the lower left at the beginning of the video? Might want to clean that up.
