Canon is showing no signs of stopping, with three new mirrorless lenses hitting the market, each with impressive features: the RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM, and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM, each with quite interesting features.
RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
- 1.4x maximum magnification
- Spherical aberration (SA) control ring for changing the character of the bokeh and introducing a softer focus effect
- Optical Image Stabilizer with up to five stops of compensation (eight when combined with in-body stabilization)

Very happy that the new 100mm macro is a relatively affordable RF lens at $1399, and the new SA feature looks interesting.
Glad their is nothing new with the 600, I'll keep my EF with adaptor and use the money for another trip. I like the 100, I always want to try macro but just never find the time for it. I've always wanted to get the MP E65 but I think this 100 will be more versatile lens for me.
Wasn't there a problem with the EF 600's: the newest one?
It's prone to the shutter shock below 1/320s, and optically is inferior to the v2:

TDP tested 2 copies. Canon sacrificed the IQ to the weight for no reason I think. I was hoping the RF version will be a new design but no...
Not sure, I bought the II new in 2017 and never regretted it. They are expensive but for wildlife it’s worth every penny.

Yeah, but, I'd still love to have that 400mm though.
Or... No wife! No girlfriend! No kids! However, GAS can be more expensive than all the above.
There have been times when I rented the 400, 500 and 600's. Sometimes the weather played nice. But, it was a bumber when it didn't. If you own the thing, there's less of a let down and the feeling of waste. ;)
It's legal to rent and buy lenses, but not so legal when it comes to love. So, sure, no feeling of waste, just a feeling of complete and utter loneliness.
