The DJI Mavic Mini Versus the Mavic Air 2: Which Drone Is Right for You?

The DJI Mavic Air 2 is here, and it brings with it a bevy of improvements and new features all within an impressively compact package. If you are trying to decide between the Mavic Air 2 and the Mavic Mini, this great comparison video will help you pick the right drone for you.

Coming to you from Drone Film Guide, this great comparison video takes a look at the Mavic Air 2 and the Mavic Mini drones. Of course, the biggest difference is the price, with the Mavic Air 2 coming in at twice the price of the Mavic Mini, but you also get a lot more with the Mavic Air 2. First, the Mavic Air 2 comes with a bigger sensor (1/2" versus 1/2.3") and raw images, two huge perks for anyone concerned with image quality. It also offers 4K video at 60 fps versus 2.7K at 30 fps and triple the video bitrate of the Mavic Mini (120 Mbps versus 40 Mbps). It also offers a much larger flight range. On the other hand, the huge advantage of the Mavic Mini is its size. Both drones fold into tiny packages, but the Mavic Mini weighs less than half the Mavic Air 2, tipping the scales at just 249 g (8.8 oz), keeping it under the registration limit for the FAA. Both are fantastic options depending on your needs. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
