The Do-It-All Lens: A Review of the Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens

Tamron has been on a roll the last few years, producing highly popular lenses that offer great image quality at prices far below comparable first party options. Their latest lens, the 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD for Sony E mount, offers an all-in-one solution for photographers looking for a single lens to handle a variety of scenarios, and as this great video review shows, it looks like the company has another winner on their hands.

Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this excellent video review takes a look at the 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD for Sony E mount. The 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 looks to be a great option for Sony shooters. It comes with a RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) autofocus motor with full-time override, a minimum focusing distance of 7.5" for a maximum magnification of 0.32x, various specialized elements for reduced aberrations and improved sharpness, moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coating for protection against dirt and oil, and a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh. At just $729, it looks to be a real value that should be a great option for any photographer looking for a good walkaround or landscape lens. Check out the video above for Abbott's full thoughts.
