Fujifilm announce another small, dynamic, mirrorless camera, packed full of features. Is this little APS-C the best yet?
2020 has been a memorable year for mostly the wrong reasons, but while the Earth is trying to rid itself of us (or rather, we're trying to rid ourselves of us,) the photography industry has been undergoing a lot of change too. Despite camera sales tanking over the last decade and beloved companies like Olympus being sold and potentially melted down for parts, companies like Canon and Sony have been producing some staggeringly good cameras. But it isn't just those two.
Fujifilm are one of my favorite camera manufacturers primarily due to their medium format bodies and lenses. However, they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to mirrorless APS-C bodies, and they're about to add another. The Fujifilm X-S10 is a compact body with strong photo and video specs. It has a 26.1 megapixel APS-C X-Trans sensor which has proven very popular, it sports UHD 4K at 30 fps and HD at a staggering 240 fps, and arguably most impressively, 5-axis in-body image stabilization. For the attractive price of $999, you can get a lot of camera and stuffed into a brilliantly small body.
While this camera isn't aimed at the demanding pros for most purposes, it has widespread appeal. Does the X-S10 interest you?
With those sort of Amateur Sony dials, you may as well just buy a fullframe Sony.
Sorry Fujifilm, I am a fan of your products but this dial philosophy hopefully stays just with that / entry level cameras
This is a great offering. I am truly impressed. At that price point you get pro image quality. Access to all the lenses you need.
Canon sells a lot aps-c cameras but don’t offer lenses much. Sony don’t have good profiles for jpeg users and Nikon don’t have IBIS and few lenses to.
Fujifilm, on paper and in total is killing it with this camera.
Anyone wanting a camera in this price range should seriously consider it. It’s such a great offering. I want one!
After shooting Fuji and Sony I for my part much prefer the logic in Sony buttons and I think this retro dial romance is overrated.

Agreed. I've been a long time Nikon user but have been looking to reduce the size and weight of my kit. I've tried a couple of Fuji's but then sold them because I couldn't get used to the interface. This looks like a real contender for drawing people like me into the fold.
