A Hands-on Review of the Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR

What difference can f/1.0 give to your photography?

Coming to you from photographer and content creator, Magic Liwanag, this video is a hands-on review and demonstration of the new Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR lens for Fujifilm X series cameras. In the video, Liwanag talks about how the lens performs in low light in addition to the significant depth of field that this lens offers. He also demonstrates a key aspect when shooting with very narrow depth of field in such large apertures which is the crucial work of a good auto focus system. Working with such a small margin of clarity can be quite difficult especially when shooting hand-held and when shooting moving subjects which is why it is important to have a camera with very reliable continuous subject tracking be paired with this kind of lens.

In the video, Liwanag tests the lens out on his Fujifilm X-T4 on various subjects and different lighting conditions. The Fujinon XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR comes at a price of $1,499 and though it comes with quite a premium price tag, according to Liwanag, this lens could be a unique and useful tool for portrait and event photographers, especially those who deal with a lot low light situations.
