How Good Is Canon's First RF Mount Cinema Camera?

The Canon Cinema line took a major step forward recently with the introduction of the EOS C70, the company's first RF mount cinema camera, allowing filmmakers to take advantage of Canon's stellar mirrorless lenses. This excellent video takes a first look at the camera and how it holds up in practice.

Coming to you from Lok Cheung, this great video takes a first look at the Canon EOS C70. Alongside the new RF mount, the EOS C70 is a departure in design from previous C Series cameras, offering a very compact footprint well fit for run and gun shooting. It features a Super35 Dual Gain Output sensor with up to 16+ stops of dynamic range, built-in ND filter of up to 10 stops, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, EOS iTR AF X autofocus, 4K 120p, 3.5" Direct Touch Control LCD, 10-bit, 4:2:2 recording, Canon Log 2 and Log 3, dual SD slots, and DIG!C DV7 image processor. It also accepts the optional EF-EOS R 0.71X EF-to-RF lens adapter that adds an extra stop of speed when adapting full frame lenses. Altogether, the EOS C70 looks like an interesting step forward for the Canon Cinema line. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

No EVF, No SDI (To try to add one EVF, for example)
Looking at the FX6 from Sony makes way more sense

Yep, make it a consumer camera and not a pro camera.

Very nice.
