A Review of the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens

Most of the talk about Canon's mirrorless system has centered around the bonkers lenses they have been releasing, particularly the RF 28-70mm f/2L lens. But for those who do not want to spend a fortune or carry around a massive lens, options like the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM offer a much more reasonable route into the RF lens system. This great video review takes a look at the lens.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost Photography, this excellent video review takes a look at the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. I had the EF version of this lens for years, and while it was never the sharpest, I absolutely loved it, as it offered a great range of focal lengths in a highly portable package with a reasonable maximum aperture. The RF version seems to offer some improvements on the image quality front, while coming in at only about a third of the price of the RF 28-70mm f/2L and well below it in bulk as well. This should make it an appealing option to almost any photographer shooting the Canon mirrorless system who is looking for a walkaround lens that will not break the bank. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on this practical lens.

The RF massive weight and expense of F/2 and lenses with greater aperture is the lunacy of the smaller lighter cheaper R cameras. It’s a niche market for an elite market that will not support Canon’s drive for profits.
The 24 - 105 L EF is my most used.
