A Review of the Panasonic S1's After 10 Months

The Panasonic S1 is a nicely balanced stills and video camera that brings with it quite a few top-shelf features all packaged in a rugged, versatile, and well-designed body. This great video takes a look at how the camera has held up after using it for almost a year.

Coming to you from DSLR Video Shooter, this helpful review takes a look at the Panasonic S1 from a mostly video-oriented perspective after almost a year with the camera. In addition to a range of impressive features, my favorite part of the S1 is simply its ergonomics. Though it is certainly on the hefty side, it is a remarkably comfortable camera that fits in the hands beautifully and is a joy to use, with easily accessible, logical controls. In addition to the design, it comes with 4K 30p video with full-pixel readout and 4:2:2 10-bit color, excellent in-body image stabilization (up to 5.5 stops), and an insanely high-resolution electronic viewfinder. Along with all those specs is the fact that Panasonic is part of the L mount alliance, meaning you can expect glass from Leica and Sigma as well. Check out the video above for a nicely balanced look at the camera.
