The 45mm f/1.8 offers a nice alternative for Sony shooters looking for a wide aperture normal lens and offers some of the features of the more well-known brands, such as two aspherical elements and an extra-low dispersion element to reduce aberrations and improve sharpness and contrast, Ultra Multi-Coating for flare and ghosting reduction, and a nine-blade rounded diaphragm for soft and smooth bokeh. It's also quite light at just 5.71 oz (162 g), making it a great walk-around lens that you can leave your camera on all times or pop in your bag for low-light situations.
