A Review of the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens

The ultra-wide angle f/2.8 zoom lens is a staple in many professional photographers' bags, but such a lens tends to be less than cheap. That is why third party options that offer comparable image quality have gained so much traction in the last few years. This great video review takes a look at the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost Photography, this excellent video review takes a look at the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens. The 14-24mm f/2.8 comes in at $1,399, cheaper than many comparable lenses and reaching wider than some others. It also comes with five Special Low Dispersion elements and one F Low Dispersion element to reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing, along with three aspherical elements to control distortion and aberrations. Finally, it contains a Super Multi-Layer Coating along with a Nano Porous Coating to minimize flares and ghosting, creating images with strong contrast and faithful color. It also comes with a rounded 11-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh. Along with its weather-resistance, this makes it an especially interesting option for a wide range of photographers, from landscape artists to wedding shooters. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts.
