A Review of the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens

A good macro lens can be one of the most versatile optics a photographer can own. If you are looking for such a lens for your own arsenal, check out this great video review of the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS.

Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this excellent video review takes a look at the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS lens. A good macro lens is a fantastic investment for many photographers. Obviously, it gives you the ability to shoot macro work and capture close details, but with a short telephoto focal length and high levels of sharpness, they make excellent portrait lenses; in fact, while Canon makes a ton of great portrait lenses, my macro lens is often my workhorse of choice because of its reliability and stunning image quality. Sony's version offers two extra-low (and one Super ED) element for reduced chromatic aberration, one aspherical element for improved sharpness, a Nano AR coating for reduced flares and ghosting and increased contrast, Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, Direct Drive SSM system with internal focus mechanism, and a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Abbott.
