Sony Announces Two New Huge Capacity CFexpress Type A Cards

Sony has announced the release of two new high capacity CFexpress Type A cards, a 960 GB and 1,920 GB version, which are currently available for preorder now.

The two new cards in the TOUGH range offer read speeds of up to 800 MB/sec and write speeds of up to 700 MB/sec. Their VPG 200 specification rating also guarantees they will never drop below 200 MB/sec sustained write speeds.

The 960 GB and 1,920 GB cards are incredibly rugged, with an IP57 rating, which means they can withstand 10 times greater bend resistance than the CFexpress 2.0 Specification, tested to 150 Newtons. They also work faultlessly in extreme temperatures or -10 to +70 °C and are dust- and water-resistant.

For content creators, filmmakers, wedding photographers and videographers, and more, these cards offer ample storage while delivering high performance with no frame drops.

  • Storage Capacity: 960 GB / 1,920 GB
