Special Edition Leica Q2 Released in a Collaboration With Actor Daniel Craig and Photographer Greg Williams

The beloved Leica Q2 has been launched as a limited edition design with elegant black and gold features in a true and iconic Hollywood style.

Leica has unveiled its latest special edition release, which comes as a result of the collaboration between the British actor Daniel Craig, best known for his portrayal of James Bond, and British photographer and film director Greg Williams, who began work as a war photographer but whose latest work reveals documentary-style moments of A-list celebrities and also editorial work.

Williams has photographed Craig in his iconic roles before, creating books containing the intimate behind-the-scenes moments and has also created shoots and many sought-after film posters with the actor. You may not be familiar with Craig's interest in photography; however, the actor has a passion for it and is a fan of Leica, too. Speaking about the camera and the collaboration, Craig noted that "The Leica Q2 is, for me, the perfect camera and needs no improvement. So, to have the chance to work with the amazing people at Leica and my friend, Greg Williams, to create something as unique as this, has been a privilege and an honor."

Both Craig and Williams bonded over their mutual love of Leica on "Casino Royale," and Williams said that the Leica Q2 is an extension of himself, and he always has one around his neck. Unsurprisingly, this connection and bond created the perfect platform for this collaboration to take place.

The Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams has the same technical specifications of the original Leica Q2. However, its design showcases black and gold features and leather embossment. Also, for the first time in Leica history, the widely recognized Leica red dot logo has been replaced with a black dot and gold lettering, making it a sought-after piece for collectors or photographers who want a one-of-a-kind camera in their hands.

The camera is also accompanied by a carrier strap, made of top-quality, vegetable-dyed Nappa leather embossed with the Leica logo and gilded eyelets. Every camera sold comes in a hinged-lid presentation box with gold lettering and a black silk lining.

This camera is limited to 750 and carries a price tag of $6,995.

Special edition = same internals/same image quality but slightly different look to the body = pricier vanity.

yep an extra 2 grand premium. crazy sauce

Sure is one gorgeous camera, though. I would love it as a mantlepiece if I was (significantly) richer.
