What Does a Box of $175 Worth of Junk Cameras Get You?

We all dream of heading to a thrift store, pawn shop, or storage unit auction and finding a great camera or lens for a fantastic price. This person actually took a chance on a similar auction, dropping $175 on mostly unverifiable camera gear to see if it contained any hidden gems, and this fun video takes you through the unboxing to see if the gamble paid off.

Coming to you from Prickly Pear Camera, this neat video shows what he was able to find when he dropped $175 on a box of 10 mostly unknown cameras. Of course, we would all love to see a top-end device emerge from the box, but the chances of that are slim to none. The video is a bit more pragmatic, aiming not to hit a jackpot, but simply to turn a profit. It is not uncommon for those who do not know much about electronics to simply sell them in bulk below market value just to move them, and it seems that was the case here. While there were not any professional cameras to be found, when you add up the market value of everything in the box, it actually makes for a nice profit if you take the time to turn around and sell it all. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
