CP+ 2023 recently wrapped up, and at it, the photo world was able to glimpse some of the most exciting cameras and lenses yet to come from some of the world's biggest manufacturers. Here is some of what you can expect next from Fujifilm.
Fujifilm had a range of lenses on display at CP+, including:
- GF 30mm f/5.6 Tilt-Shift
- GF 55mm f/1.7
- XF 8mm f/3.5
While all three lenses are certainly interesting, I find the 30mm f/5.6 Tilt-Shift especially intriguing. Tilt-shift lenses have traditionally been solely the domain of full frame lineups. However, a tilt-shift lens for medium format (and at the popular full frame equivalent focal length of 24mm, no less) would likely be appealing for a lot of photographers when combined with the GF line's high levels of resolution and dynamic range. I could see such a lens being quite popular among landscape and especially architectural photographers, for whom the 24mm tilt-shift is often the workhorse of choice. Furthermore, such a lens indicates that despite being medium format, Fujifilm sees the GF line as more than just studio cameras, which is perhaps an indication of where they might take it next. No word yet on when we will see that lens, but expect the XF 8mm f/3.5 and GF 55mm f/1.7 later this year.
I will definitely get that 8mm as long as it's not a circular fisheye. Rectilinear is better and more usable in my opinion.
What I really want next from Fujifilm is to re-stock their cameras. I'm just trying to buy an X-E4.
Tilt shift lenses have mostly been for medium format and large format cameras, Cambo, Linhoff, Hasselblad etc been making them for a long long time.
Linhof don't manufacture lenses.
Hasselblad don't manufacture a T/S lens, just an adapter. In fact Hasselblad don't manufacture any lenses - XCD lenses are Nittoh, H-system by Fujifilm etc.
I am waiting to buy but should.not be fish eye and should be expensive to cost my lungs or my house
