thanks Edwin. this was with the fuji 100s ii. it wss 2 shots, 1 for the sky using 5 second f/4 iso 6400. the other shot was for the foreground, the settings were the same except for the shooter speed of 60 seconds. i ended up darkening it so could have gone 30ish seconds.
I want to try taking multiple photos and dark frames and stack them but I don't usually have access to dark skies.
that is incredible, only 5 s exposure to get the milkyway? What was the focal length of the lens? Must have been a very short fl? I assume it is not tracked?
thanks. 20-35mm @ 22.8mm. single shot of the sky, not tracked. i used photopills to figure out the shutter speed using the npf method, i can go up to 45mm with 5 seconds with this camera. it's a bit noisy when pixel peeping, but still very usable.
