Spider web with dew drops, Oxford (edited)

Shot this in a town not far from my home this morning at sunrise. The dense fog usually provides some good opportunities and I haven't shot much of anything for a week, so I really wanted to get out and find something. I think I like the way the background tree frames this web, but wanted some more opinions. What say you?

EDIT: I've added a second photo of a different web at the same location.

the backdrop and bokeh are nice you probably needed to get in closer with a 50mm to get more out of the web but it does make for a creepy image especially with that fugly branch nice Phillip i go crazy now if i don't go out for a few days let alone a week

Thanks for the feedback Joseph. I added a second image to the post. This one is of a different web at the same location. How does it look to you?

definitely a nicer web and structure surrounding the web too bad you don't have that in front of the tree...it would be an awesome image if you could get the best of both the fantastic background of the tree and the intricacy of the other web and structure. have you tried any macro style stuff web's look amazing in that setup and i just watched something on it last night as a kind of hack to take a normal lens get a reverse ring adapter and torn your regular lens into a macro lens for $20 rather than buying a $1000 lens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT1fcwMu8jY

I have a 50mm Macro lens. In this case, I was shooting over a fence, so I couldn't get closer.

The trouble with getting really close for a macro shot is the wind plays havoc with small, lightweight things like spider webs. Even the slightest breath of air moves the web enough to induce motion blur or even blow it out of the frame. In my first shot here, that image was one frame of a dozen that were less interesting due to the breeze changing the shape of the web.

yeah i tried a shot in the fall with mini webs and dew on some wild flowers the damn thing was swaying in the non existent wind aggravating the shit out of me haha doesn't look like anything is moving to the naked eye but put it under a lens and its all over the place ....and yes fences are annoying when they get in the way of a good shot may i suggest bolt cutters hahaha
