Beautiful Bobby. This totally works for me. I might have suggested lightening it a little but I as I see more of your work, a definite moody, somewhat dark style is becoming evident. I like it! I think you hit the target with this one!
You can just reply to the first post "defining minimalism ,,,," and post your photo in your reply. If you want to also respond the post with you ideas - even better!
Now you've nailed it, Bobby! Simplifying the image has made all the difference, you've got a beautiful flow to it, and a sense of a mysterious light in the background. Also, to me, the middle and lower part of the image suggest a creature, rather than a plant, adding another layer to the image's appeal. I like the toning - it adds to the sense of mystery.
All that with a bit of grass... ;-) No, I didn't mean that sort of grass!
Lol! Your ending was amusing I got a great laugh my friend thanks.... Most of all thanks for the love! How I did this was I clipped some grass outside, brought it in put it in a small clear glass, then set it down on a white piece of paper and looked down to take the portrait with my camera then used a manipulation app to pinch and twirl the image.
I agree with all former comments Bobby. This has a painterly feel to it with wonderful tones.
I am really liking the composition also, the blades of grass form wonderful leading lines to the center of the plant. I have to ask - is the light in the center natural, or did you enhance in post? Either way this is a masterful addition as it acts as a resting place for the eye before it investigates further.
Wonderful image, one I'd be proud to hang on my wall.
PS - I don't see this in your portfolio.... it needs to be there.......
Thanks Alan will definitely put in my portf. No I did not add any light I used natural lighting from my window being ope and my front door on the other side so it evened out the toning in the lighting to where all I had to do was convert to jpeg

PS I'd love to see you and images like this in the Minimalism, Abstract and Beyond group!
;)
Actually, I think you should add this to the pinned post at the head of the group as it is a really good example of abstracts. ;)
How?

I used natural lighting from my cutins opened on my large living room window and my front door being open.
