Wine Room

This is a shot of a wine room in a private club. It has a table with chairs so that members can have small gatherings or meetings while trying different vintage wines from around the world.

I really like how the photo came out - if I could change anything, it would be adding to the framing at the top so that you could see more of the light fixture.

I'm interested to know what you guys think and how I can improve.

The shot is a blend of 5 exposures with additional light painting thrown in to give detail to the wine bottles in the shadowed areas in the back.

Rob - great shot, clean and well composed. What comes to mind first is how the wine racks could be accentuated. Most of the photo is chair/table/ceiling with the wine/bar in the background. Presumably you're in a tight spot so there's not a whole lot of flexibility.

Great shot though, would love to be there!

Thanks for the feedback! It was a pretty tight room. Like you mentioned, I think the shot could have benefitted from a higher exposure. There was a cool oak insert on the underside of the table that you can see on the bottom which drove a lot of the decision to have the shot at a lower height. I think six inches or so higher could have looked a lot better. Thanks!

Maybe use the radial brush to put some false light on the racks?

Too far down close to the table, you want to make art or do do like getting paid for more work. you get jobs by what your work looks like. The two things that new clients look for ( Who have you worked for and what your book looks like).
