[Images] Barbie and Ken's Hilarious Wedding Photography

Welp, it looks like Barbie and Ken finally tied the knot! I laughed out loud when I saw America's favorite plastic couple's wedding photos by Beatrice de Guine.

The photos are surprisingly good, and de Guine included just about every contemporary wedding photography trend out there: Barbie and Ken beaming through a picture frame, artistic blur, selective desaturation, and even some kicker light action during the dancing photos. Click the photos below to see even more detail!

Is it just me, or do the bride and groom's expressions seem to change throughout the series?

These photos are hilarious, and it reminded me a bit of the Barbie fashion story we ran not too long ago. I was totally on board and loving this shoot (although it really makes me wonder how important being "in the moment" actually is to good wedding photography?), until I read the caption at the bottom of the Rock n Roll Bride website. Editor Kat quotes photographer Beatrice de Guine as saying, "Barbie & Ken were married at Faraway Castle, in Plasticity,” photographer Béatrice told me. “The bride bought her dress from The Fairy Godmother shop and her shoes from the Cinderella Store. The groom wore a suit from The Prince Charming Emporium. The couple met more than 50 years ago (yes I know they look young). Barbie was tired of waiting so she asked Ken to get married.”

...That might be too far for this particular wedding photographer, kids.
