Of the tips, one I think is particularly important (and that will save you a fair amount of frustration) is remembering that what your eyes see is not what the camera sees. We have all had the experience of finding an amazing scene that is just stunning in person, taking a ton of photos, then coming home, only to wonder why the photos just are not as compelling as the scene was in person. It is important to remember a photo is a two-dimensional reduction of a scene and that factors like aperture and focal length can also alter its representation as compared to what our eyes see. Furthermore, a photo can never convey the physical grandeur of a scene like seeing it in person can, so be careful relying on that to make the photo. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
