Fall is here, and the colors are vibrantly popping and begging to be photographed. If you are thinking of heading out with your camera and want to ensure you come home with the best possible images, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will give you seven helpful tips that will improve your autumn photos.

Coming to you from Photo Tom, this awesome video tutorial will give you seven helpful tips for getting better landscape photos during the fall. One tip that I think is particularly helpful is remembering to bring along a longer focal length lens. There is a tendency in landscape photography to always default to using a wide angle lens, and that tendency is often doubled during the fall, when we try to capture all those colors in a single frame. And of course, you can make great images with a wide angle lens, but a longer focal length can create more abstract and interesting photos that isolate single compelling elements in the frame or use the power of telephoto compression to bring multiple things closer together, which can often augment the drama of the composition. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
