7 Hidden Features and Tips for Editing Landscape Photos in Lightroom

Though we normally think of Photoshop as the place for complex edits, in recent iterations, Lightroom has become a tremendously capable and surprisingly intricate program. As such, there are some features and capabilities you might not be aware of. This excellent video tutorial will show you seven such features and tips and how to use them to make your landscape photo edits more efficient and improve your overall image quality.

Coming to you from Nigel Danson, this great video tutorial will show you seven important features in Lightroom and how to use them to edit landscape images. My personal favorite is the Camera Calibration tab at the bottom of the Develop module. Many photographers go their entire careers without ever opening this tab, and while it certainly is not necessary for processing images, it can provide a subtle and natural boost to your colors that can be really appealing without looking overly artificial or gaudy. Give it a try the next time you are working on a landscape shot. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Danson.

Since the last Lightroom update, it has been painfully slow on my computer. It used to run nice and smoothly. I don't know what the deal is; I launch it and watch it eat through as much of my memory as it can get. Maybe I have to uninstall it and re-install it.
