Helpful Tips for Better Landscape Photo Compositions

One of the trickiest aspects of landscape photography is that you do not get any control over the physical location of the elements in the frame, and as such, a lot of photographers experience difficulties with compositions. By far, the most common mistake I see photographers make is using too wide a focal length and consequently including too much in the frame. Sometimes, the best way to deal with a messy or overly complex composition is to just simplify it, and the easiest way to do this is by zooming in. If you find yourself always resorting to a wide angle lens and struggling with composition, try bringing along a longer lens the next time you head out; you might find your creativity reinvigorated. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
