Mistakes Every Beginner Landscape Photographer Makes

If you are new to landscape photography, it can be easy to feel a bit overwhelmed by all the things you have to master and keep track of to produce a compelling final image, which can sometimes lead to making mistakes. This helpful video tutorial discusses some of the most common mistakes beginner landscape photographers make and how you can correct them or avoid them altogether.

Coming to you from Perea Photography, this great video discusses some of the most common mistakes new landscape photographers make and how to fix them. By far, the most common mistake I see (and one I was certainly guilty of myself) is over-editing photos, particularly when it comes to color. There is a very fine line between a vibrant, eye-catching image and one where the colors are gaudy and distracting. Generally, it is better to err on the side of editing less. Try to share your edits with other photographers for feedback and take a little time after you finish them to step away before you evaluate the image set one last time before exporting the JPEGs. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
