Moment's App Now Has Time-Lapses

Imagine you can add an anamorphic lens to a camera and shoot time-lapses with manual controls and a slow shutter mode effect built in, to give that real sense of motion in the shot. Yes, Moment has done just that, and it's all within their Pro Camera app.

If you already have the app all you need to do is update the app, and you'll be taken though the time-lapse tutorial. You can even capture bracketed exposures to make HDR time-lapses in Lightroom. You also have multiple export options with regards to formats, bit-rate, and frames per second.

When in the time-lapse mode, you can select format, so you can choose between JPEG, Raw, TIFF, or HEIFF, and you can choose whether you want to apply light trails or bracketing for the time-lapse.

You can select the shot intervals, and the amount of time you want the time-lapse to be, and it gives you a calculator of how many frames you'll need to capture based on the interval between shots you've selected. And, if there is a frame in the time-lapse you like, you can obviously export it too, in full 12MP raw quality.

Not only has Moment opened up the photography industry to people with just a phone, but they've also given us software that no other camera brand has in the past. The workflow is seamless, the app works in an intuitive, user-friendly way, and paired with the lenses they offer, gives you nothing short of some professional looking video.

The app will cost you $5.99. That's very reasonable for what you're getting. They've also given you a horizon leveler, and you can change the app icon if you so wish.
