Shoot Two Videos at the Same Time Using Any of the Four Lenses on Your iPhone With This Free App

Ever wanted more than one camera from the same angle while shooting video? The creators of one the most professional video recording apps in the App store, Filmic Pro, have released an app that lets you select any two of the four cameras on the iPhone and record from both simultaneously. And it's free.

In this video, Sarah Dietschy discusses how it can be used, what the app adds to the creator's toolkit, and how easy it is to use. It almost looks like a live broadcast display dashboard where you, the producer, have to choose which frame now best suits your story. And apart from that, you're not only getting one of the videos, but two, at any given time.

I don't know how it works with regards to capturing audio and whether it attaches the audio to both the videos being captured or whether it will lose some frames when you select a different lens to record from while shooting. If it does lose frames, it will essentially add jump cuts.

I can imagine interviewing someone and holding up the phone or talking about a certain place and being able to give your viewer some perspective of where you are or what you're experiencing. This can also give creators who shoot with their phones some epic b-roll, where they can talk you through the shot they're creating. A lot can be done with only a phone camera now, and there really aren't any excuses for not creating the content you want to.
