Pete Souza Photographs Netflix 'House of Cards' Promo in Washington, D.C.

In a brilliant move of marketing meets real world political photojournalism, former President Barack Obama's photographer, Pete Souza, was in D.C. today, photographing Kevin Spacey and Michael Kelly in character as President Frank Underwood and White House Chief of Staff Doug Stamper ahead of season five of the Netflix original series "House Of Cards."

New photographs emerged on Monday across the Instagram accounts of Pete Souza, Michael Kelly, and House of Cards, with others being posted on the House of Cards Facebook page. In a fairly robust day spent traveling around the city, the crew visited the White House, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Union Station, the U.S. Capitol Building, Old Ebbitt Grill, Foggy Bottom Metro Station, and Ben's Chili Bowl, among other locations., Check out "Pete Souza: A Day in the Life of Frank Underwood" on Facebook and the Instagram posts below.

Stay tuned for season five of "House of Cards" on Netflix May 30, 2017.
