Shutterstock Announces 'Elements': A Library of Blockbuster-Quality Video Effects for Filmmakers

Shutterstock is one of the largest companies offering stock content for photographers, filmmakers, and designers. Тheir already available footage library has become even more competitive by adding video effects for filmmakers.

Video is getting more and more popular as a marketing tool and the stock content company saw a great potential investing into an in-house-built library called Shutterstock Elements. It contains more than 3,000 high-quality items including such captured with cinema-grade cameras and lenses. The library offers transitions, lens flares, visual effects, video kits, film overlays, HUD (head-up displays), and user interface elements. Not only that, but Shutterstock has taken care of those who are just tipping their toe into videography, providing detailed tutorials on how to optimally use such effects in their projects.

Shutterstock Elements contains carefully curated categories like "Yum" that is designated for creators working on food videos. It has digital assets like lower thirds, transitions, animated characters, and loopable backgrounds. For those who want to add an artistic and cinematic touch to their footage, there are categories offering 4K overlays like light leaks, flares and sizzle, and practical effects. The latter include explosions, glass shattering, concrete breaking, and more, all filmed on location by a team of special effects specialists.

With that new addition to their products Shutterstock hopes small businesses, vloggers, independent videographers will be able to find everything they need to refine their footage at a competitive price.
