Every wedding photographer has their own style of lighting, editing, posing, etc. However, a Dutch wedding photographer just blew the doors off convention with what's probably the most risqué wedding photo I've seen.

Dutch Wedding Photographer Michael Klooster recently posted a photo from a wedding that has set the industry abuzz with debate, as it shows a pose implying the couple is engaged in oral sex.

Klooster notes that it was actually the bride's mom who mentioned the pose, saying that the couple was interested in it but too shy to ask. Another photo shows a pose implying the couple having sex in a pickup truck.

The first photo has unsurprisingly had a polarizing effect, with some calling it offensive and others calling it a funny and honest take on what's on the minds of couples after they say their vows. Klooster has defended the photo, noting everything in the image is implied and saying he believes anyone who is offended by the photo is a "prude" and "living in 1996." He has also received requests from other couples for the same sort of shots and is completely booked for the next year.

I find those bold an different from the usual wedding pictures. I like them. I am more interrogating the reasons some people are offended by them since they depict a reality. So either that's hypocrisy or that's conscious blindness in an attempt to preserve a somewhat ideal view of the wedding.

I think it's a matter of taste. Those who don't want to see such things, shouldn't look. Those who do, can look. Both sides should STFU.

Some people won't need your advice. Those who do, won't listen to it.

I'm not listening! ;-)

Joking aside, I tell people to shut up when they're being rude and/or unreasonable. There's no point trying to be polite to such people. I can't imagine telling you to shut up. While we agree and disagree in roughly equal measure, you're always polite and reasonable. I could, however, wish you weren't so serious. :-)

Damn you had to say pizza. Personally, some super spicy wings really brighten my day up. I have been craving them a lot lately. Sooo damn good.

Oh boy did I! I got 20 of them and made a hot sauce mix with a cajun hot sauce, a habanero hot sauce, and valentina! My mouth was deliciously on fire hahaha. i could only eat 15 ;D. i get them every once in a while. I had a dream about them last night so i have been craving them all day. XD

I actually did the same with my wife, but as a photographer, I just setup a tripod with automatic picture every second to get them done. Nice result, few are actually even printed A4 on display at home as regular wedding pix.
Few different scenario with a nice B&W finish to "hide" and let your brain do the rest of the job.

How many times were you able to tell her the shots weren't any good before she figured it out? ;-)

Well, she was the one to ask for it.
Sometime, I'm not crazy to get my work and my life mixed up and taking picture for myself is not a everyday comfort zone.
I guess it also put her in a way she feels comfortable to avoid the basic "men fuck a woman" situation (As you can see on the example below) and maybe something more creative and equitable between person in love.

After the shooting and the prints done, I have to say it was a great idea. I'm not sure I will be doing this for a living.

Not the first time I've seen this pose for a wedding; I think it was just last year an American photog did the same thing

Jepp, I remember that, too! Just another one of those publicity stunts. Boring as hell.

To each their own...wedding day fun. Just being open about it. Still pictures suppose to posting a video on YouTube doing it while on honeymoon.

The idea was the couple's and relayed by the bride's mom so, what's all the fuss? I'm just curious if the photog had the couple's permission to post the shot. Even if their faces can't be seen, a picture that garners this much attention may lead to some unwanted exposure for the couple.

I'm assuming he did since he's mentioned that he withheld their identities after request from them.

Different indeed!

Social boundaries, I suppose. One calls it part of a wedding photo portfolio... another calls it porn. New genre... wedding porn? Exhibitionism at its best. The mom must have a voyeuristic vein.

Hey everybody... come watch my wedding night sex tape! LOLOL

Haha that is awesome XD Hey if they are both up for it why not?? when they are old and look back on these they will remember how much fun they had !

She is a keeper.

Some peoples be super accepting of whatever comes their way cos they don't want to look like they're judging.... Don't be afraid to judge. He probably expected some backslash so let's give it to him. This image portrays marriage = sex.

Hopefully the long story before the judgment validates the judgment. Otherwise feel free to judge

I dont know, looks like just marketing hahaha on his website his photos aren't that great and look like he just turns his Contrast waaay down. Maybe this was just a way to get his name out there....

I really like the contrast and richness to the edits.

Hm... conflicted about this one, it's both kind of great yet soooo tacky at the same time. I'm waiting for the next one with the roles are reversed - something is telling me it would get way more likes ;)

Or you could tell me why you disagree with my comments. But I guess that's a lot more work than voting someone down.

„In the BACK of a pick up truck»???

Ha thanks. I'm a country boy, so I automatically think of such acts being performed in the back of a truck just by the culture of pickups.

I think it's cool photographers (and couples) keep looking for new ways to make wedding photos. I think that's just a matter of personal taste. I think these are hilarious and perfect for a more 'loose' wedding-shoot.

Let's just hope this doesn't become a trend with copycat-photographers just to catch headlines instead of making photos the couple actually wants. ;)

The Dutch sure know how to keep it weird👍

LOL amusing...depends on the client I suppose. Can't imagine a photo album of those making the rounds to parents/grandparents tho..

I must be corrupt because this is PG-13 material.

The second image carries with it the connotation that a white trash groom and bride will be having sex in his pickup truck as they lack the sensibilities and restraint to wait until they get to a hotel room. It was not the intent but the message is the same as if they had a shotgun resting against the side of the truck that implies that she was pregnant and they had to get married. Photographs can play into the stereotypes of the elites and used to justify their actions. Not something I want to contribute to with my work for myself or my clients
