Fstoppers Photographer of the Month (March 2020): Mikkel Beiter

Fstoppers Photographer of the Month (March 2020): Mikkel Beiter

The Fstoppers community is brimming with creative vision and talent. Every day, we comb through your work, looking for images to feature as the Photo of the Day or simply to admire your creativity and technical prowess. In 2020, we're featuring a new photographer every month, whose portfolio represents both stellar photographic achievement and a high level of involvement within the Fstoppers community.

This month's winner is Mikkel Beiter! His work is notable for its gorgeous use of color and striking compositions. Be sure to check out our favorite shots of his below and give him a follow to see his full portfolio. He's now in the running for Fstoppers Community Photographer of the Year!

How to Be Chosen

Remember, in 2020, we'll be featuring a photographer chosen from the community every month. At the end of the year, the Fstoppers Community Photographer of the Year will be chosen from the 12 monthly winners, with the overall winner getting a tutorial of their choice from the Fstoppers store. Check out the rules to be chosen:

  1. You must have uploaded an image to your portfolio in the past 30 days to be selected.
  2. For the year-end award, you must have remained active in the Fstoppers community by uploading an image at least once every 60 days.

Nice work! Worthy of the recognition.

Thank you David!

You accidentally put the wrong year.

Thank you!

Thanks for the selection!

Uploading an image every 60 days is going to be difficult this year I’d say, considering we aren’t allowed out of the house.

I'd say a very few photographers would be able to keep delivering. It will be interesting to be sure.

Definitely.. I can do a bit of woodland round the back of our house so going to focus on that.

That's very similar to my plan. I've found that I can sometimes get decent shots of squirrels in my yard and back woods. Good luck.

I started my lock down project by not even moving from seat on the sofa, nothing special but was messing about with the Fuji 50mm on a cheapo X-M1 I picked up for fun.

We have squirrels too but only grey ones unfortunately, still fun to shoot though. Look forward to seeing your results:)

My first project thus far I described here. Here are a few shots I took pre-quarantine of the squirrels.

Awesome:) it’s special having that in reach of the house isn’t it.

It really is. They're getting more used to me every time.

I’ll relax that rule. 😊

Haha good to hear:)

We haven't been 'locked down' in Winnipeg yet. The distancing thing is on. My wife and I took a walk at Assiniboine Park. Here's a Canada Goose that just arrived after a LONG flight north that decided a bath would be good. :-)

Nice:) enjoy it whilst you can, I’m still working but after that it’s straight home on dead roads, surreal in the U.K. at the minute.

Sorry forgot to add... some awesome images here, great work. I’ve got a lot to learn.

Thank you Stuart!

Congratulations buddy! Well deserved 😊

Thanks a lot my friend! :-)

Beautiful photographs! Congratulations!
