I quite enjoy this photograph Darryl. My only suggestion would be to lower the f stop a full stop. Other than that, it's very well done.

thank you marty, but how does one edit it to look like that is what i did ?

There are many ways. Once you have the shot you like in camera, bring it into a photo editor, like Asobe's Lightroom or Photoshop and use the sliders to obtain the overall look and feel you're after. If you need to tweak parts of the photo, there are tools in most photo editors to select certain areas and do all sorts of adjustments, until you have it looking how you envision it in your head. But it all begins how you set up the shot in-camera. what you have your f stop, shutter speed and iso, contributes to the overall first impression, then as I suggested, take it into a photo editor and tweak it to your liking.

That's my suggestion. If you have it perfect in-camera, just the way you envision how you want it to look, you don't need to anything except publish/print it.
